I said goodbye to a friend today. Grendel, my favorite dog aside from my own dogs, died this morning. He looked like a ferocious guard dog but he was really a pussy cat. When he was happy, his chest and stomach got all flushed and pink. He once gave me a bloody lip because he REALLY wanted to kiss me. He was a wonderful, beautiful dog and I'll miss him.
