hey HEY hey, boys and girls. I'm having a lovely time here in beautiful Vermont at the Vermont Quilt Festival. Thursday's workshop was Photo Expansion - students start with a photo (printed on fabric) and expand the area beyond the edges of the photo with fabric. I had a rockin' group of students who all did incredible work (and I'm not just saying that). Here's what it looked like...

A big thanks to all my wonderful students.
peace out
P.S. Your next opportunity to take this workshop (actually, a variation of this technique) is at the East Coast Art Retreat in Danbury, CT in October 2010.

Extremely cool, Elin!
These are fabulous!
I was at VQF yesterday myself. How did I miss you? Perhaps you were burrowed in your classroom?
Thanks guys!
KLR - I meant to email you to see if you were here! I was in my classroom all day, and the one I've been in for my first three workshops was over on the St. Michael's campus (away from the exhibit venue). I thought about you guys the whole time I was driving up here. Vermont rocks, no wonder you love it so much!
man...those are amazing
They really got it, and it's not the easiest technique to master!
