So yeah. I'm done. In the coming weeks, I'm going to try to make an animation of all 366 blocks (with my husband's help). I'll post it when it's finished. Meanwhile, here they are. Some I loved, some I hated, some were good enough. My favorites are at the bottom of the post.
my favorite...
my second favorite...
and I have a special, deep, unhealthy love for this guy who is my new boyfriend (but don't tell my other boyfriend - Otto, the muscle man I carved back in July)...
Thank you all for supporting me, leaving me comments and suggesting subjects for me. This was a lot of fun, but I must say I'm glad it's over. See ya!

wow! congratulations!
Amazing Elin and a remarkable accomplishment but I'm a bit jealous of Otto and the Joker
Elin: what a lovely body of work you have to remember 2008. Really spectacular. Happy new year! What's next, more daily art? cp
No more daily art at the moment. This took up waaaay more time than it seems like it would, and so a lot of stuff fell by the wayside. I'm going to try to catch up on some of that stuff.
these are so cool! love love love your work!!
Amazing accomplishment and collection, Elin!
sweet! what an awesome accomplishment. you rock Elin
Elin,
I just NOW discovered that you were doing this project in 2008. I am so amazed and inspired. These are incredible works. How you did it for a whole year I do not know. WOW! So impressive!!! Thanks for sharing this body of work with the world. :)
Congratulations Elin. They are stunning and I can't wait to see the animation.
ML
Great to see them all together, what an accomplishment!
I lost track of this project sometime last spring, but I'm actually glad to have had the chance to see the results en masse -- all the more impressive. And besides having MADE them all, now you HAVE them all...to use. Lucky you!
Really fantastic! So impressed you did this. It's intriguing to view your "favorites"!!! (I had many!) I totally relate to your comment re the time-absorbing nature of block prints! And, wow, over 360 blocks! Great commitment, great art.
humongous congratulations! I too, look forward to the animated presentation. I've wondered all year, will you have your own line of stamps?
Thanks for the kudos everyone.
Jane - I don't think I have enough drive or ambition to parlay this into a line of stamps. We'll see if anything else comes of it. Right now I'm trying to decide what to do next art-wise.
What talent! What tenacity! Thanks for sharing it all with us Elin. Best of luck in catching up on all of that other stuff.
That is TRULY impressive! it's not even like there are a bunch of mediocre ones in there, they are all fabulous! great project.
Wow, they are great. Exciting.
Well done!!!!
I soooo would like you to be my next door neighbor right about now...I have a ways to go to catch up with your stash.
wowza! I totally love these prints. WONDERFUL! keep doing it please! I think you're on a roll!
They are so beautiful all lined up like that! I had picked the harpy as my favourite before I got down to the bottom - and I love the robots too.
Wow! What a collection!
I don't think I mentioned this, but i am SO proud of you for doing this. And honored that my cheetah was the first one!!! You rock.
