feuilles d'automne du rouge et de l'or

Qu'est-ce que c'est, you ask. It's something to use with yesterday's tree, like so:

I know I'll often stop and think about them

I spent yesterday with my aunts and cousin (and families - see below) talking about family trees.

ménagère 1

At Deborah's suggestion, I'm going to carve some kitcheny items. My kitchen skills leave a lot to be desired (I haven't turned the oven on in about a year), so we'll see if I can manage it.

arachnida/scorpiones

My friend Joseph was kind enough to suggest I do some arachnids, so here's the first - a scorpion. Very scary.

Now my geeky smart girl stuff (from wikipedia, my favorite internet hot spot)...

Arachnids are a class of joint-legged invertebrate animals in the subphylum Chelicerata. The term arachnid is from the Greek word arachne, meaning spider, and also referring to the mythological figure Arachne.

Arachne was a great mortal weaver. She boasted that her skill was greater than that of Athena the goddess of crafts, which resulted in a contest between her and the goddess. In the end the goddess turned Arachne into a spider.

awesome.

when I look out my window

I'm being very random. And I'm going to continue to be random until I think of (or someone suggests) a new series.

fishy

I know I've done a million fish...I have a reason for doing another. Today I went to a funeral for an 8 month old baby (whose twin sister only lived to be 2 days old). His name was Anthony, but he was known to all as Fishy. RIP little Fishy.
